Brazil 2014 Nigeria: Echiejile works hard for World Cup squad

201326175118141734_20Defender Elderson Echiejile of Sporting Braga and Nigeria admits that concatenating games and performing fireworks in his Portugal-based side could secure him a good place in the Coach Stephen Keshi squad for next summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
The player did not hide his WC ambitions as he chatted with Brila FM.
“My plan is to make sure I continue playing regularly here in Portugal, as well as keeping fit and working hard so as to get to my very best.
“I believe that by working hard my ability will keep improving if I continue to play regularly, which is what I am working on.” he told BrilaFM.

The defender added underscoring the quality of the Super Eagles ready to stun football fans around the world in the South-American country.
“If we didn’t have a good team, I am not sure we would have qualified for the World Cup.
“I believe we have a good blend of players looking at what we have done so far.
“We have shown that we are a good squad, but I sincerely believe that come next year when we go to the World Cup in Brazil we will surprise a lot of people as well as a lot of teams,” he added.
