Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sibusiso Vilakazi went sad at the moment of evoking the subject of the sale of his former club Bidvest Wits.

Talking to Sundwns’ official website, Vilakazi admitted that it is a grezat loss for what the club was.

“It is a big loss, the team has been there for years and I am disappointed and sad for what has happened, they have contributed to a lot of players in South Africa. I had my debut there.” Vilakazi said.

Moreover, he brought back memories where he was playing for the Clever Boys. As he joined the club in 2009, to leave it in 2016 for Mamelodi. Obviously, he won one of the best individual awards there back to 2013/14 season. As he was crowned player of the season.

“I went on to create memories at that club and they will always be there. I become Footballer of the Season there and I worked with great coaches, like Roger De Sa, Clive Barker and Gavin Hunt. I am honoured at the opportunity they gave me,” he added.

As a reminder, Bidvest Wits was sold to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) few months ago. And it will bear a new name next season. Something Sibusiso Vilakazi is regretting.
