Ghana Premier League Asamoah Gyan : I think I can be a very good coach

Few days after having joined Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities, Asamoah Gyan, 34, is already thinking of he will become after his playing career.

Asamoah Gyan have already completed his first training with Wa All Stars and just wait for November 14, when the Accra-based club will face Berekum Chelsea in their opening game.

Of course, the former Sunderland forward has a well known plan at the end of his career as he believes he can be a good manager.

“Coaching is part of the plan,” Gyan told BBC Sport Africa.

“As people know I am also a businessman but people advised me never to go out of football.

“I have to be in the game because I have done a lot in the game so it would be a bit shocking if I abandon it.

“I need to get my coaching licence which is very, very important. Some of my old colleagues have started doing a great job in coaching, so I think it is a good thing.

“I think I can be a very good coach. I don’t want to praise myself but the time will come.” he added.

Furthermore, African leading goal scorer in World Cup said returning to the national team will depend on his will.
