Uncategorised Super Eagles Player, Officials Undergo Covid-19 Test

Super Eagles players and technical crew on Wednesday took their compulsory COVID-19 tests ahead of this Friday AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone in Benin City.
All the players who are already in camp and members of the backroom staff underwent to test in line with CAF directives.
CAF had in a statement on Wednesday said all teams will have to undergo a Covid-19 test 72 hours before any match.

Also the visiting team before departure will undergo same test and upon arrival, they will also undergo another test.
Part of CAF statement said;

“In accordance with the guidelines of the FIFA and CAF health protocols against CoVID-19 and for the resumption of competitions, players testing positive for the virus are not allowed to participate in matches.

“In this particular context, the Emergency Committee of CAF has, in order to allow the different teams engaged in CAF competitions to have a sufficient number of players to participate in the matches, has adopted following the proposal of the Organising Committee of AFCON the following decisions : “

Super Eagles opponent, Sierra Leone are expected to arrive the country today.

The Matchday 3 game between the Super Eagles and the Leone Stars will be played on Friday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
