Foot Africa Ghana : All Sporting Events Should Be Played Behind Closed Doors

This is the decision from Ghana Sports Minister this Friday 24 hours ahead of the 2020-2021 football season to start. In a news release, Isaac Asiamah reported that Ghana is experiencing an increase of Covid-19 cases. Thus, in order to contain the crisis, they order the clubs not to allow any spectators into the stadiums on the championship resumption.

Bad news for the clubs that were about to welcome fans for 25% of stadium capacities. This was the initial decision announced by Nana Akuffo addo, President of the Republic, at the time of authorizing the resumption of sports activities in clubs.

In addition, clubs are also asked to perform tests on players before all matches.

On suspension last March following the first coronavirus cases in the country, Ghana is about to restart their football competitions. Among the matches of this first gameday, Legon Cities, the new club of Asamoah Gyan will face Berekum Chelsea.
