Baroka FC have revealed Leonardo Afonso as their latest signing from Polokwane City. The Limpopo outfit has confirmed adding the former Mamelodi Sundowns development player to their squad for the 2020/21 season.
The 23-year-old winger has been playing for the Polokwane City reserve team since last year. Having left Sundowns development in 2018 after suffering an injury which delayed his progress.
“New alert singing for Baroka Leonardo Afonso from @PolokwaneAcademy on a one-year and seven months contract and optional one year.” Confirmed Baroka on the club’s official Twitter account.
Meanwhile, Bakgaga prepare to welcome Chippa United to the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday in their next match. This meeting follows their 1-1 draw against Orlando Pirates on the weekend.
