African players abroad Ali Maaloul: Al Ahly star nominated for Northwest African Player of the year

Al Ahly and Tunisia left-back Ali Maaloul is in contention for France Football’s Northwest African Player of the year award.

The 30-year-old defender played a great role in Red Devils’ treble-winning 2019/20 season as he scored five goals and provided six assists in 23 Egyptian Premier League games.

He also played a key role in the champions league where he bagged 3 goals and 2 assists in nine appearances.
