Napsa Stars FC from Zambia arrived in Mozambique on Monday ahead of their Confederation of African Football (CAF) Confederation Cup qualifying round match against hosts Uniao Desportiva do (UD) Songo.

The media in Mozambique reports that Napsa arrived in the coastal town of Beira the headquarters of Sofala Province.

 “The Zambians disembarked this morning at the International Airport of Beira, hoping that they will do the reconnaissance training at the Ferroviário da Beira field, this Tuesday afternoon (5th).

Still on Monday, the Zambian delegation should be subjected to Covid-19 screening tests, within the scope of the health protocol defined by CAF for games,” reports Journal Noticias, an online publication in Mozambique.

Napsa have travelled to Mozambique with a 23-member squad.

Songo are already in Beira under coach Nacir Armando ahead of the match.

The Mozambicans have since been boosted by the availability of goalkeeper Guirrugo who missed the first away leg after testing positive for coronavirus.

The overall winner between the two teams tomorrow will advance to the group stages. The first leg played in Lusaka ended 0-0.
