A great performance as DR Congo are one of the most experienced teams in this competition for having won the title two times (2009 and 2016).

“I would like to say thank you to Florent because it was a great match,” Martin Mpile said in the post-match press conference on Saturday, CAFonline reported.

“We had to find possibilities to counter this team from the DR Congo which has experienced players.

“I think that with great emphasis we managed to prevent them from reaching our goal area. But all in all, I think it was a great match and I congratulate the DR Congo team.”

In addition, Cameroon will face the winner of Morocco – Zambia (to be played at 4pm) next Wednesday.
