African players abroad Kenneth Omeruo reacted to first league goal with CD Leganes

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo chose to score his first goal of the season in a very-needed time against Almeria on Wednesday night.

The 27-year-old scored an important goal for his side yesterday night.

While the team was close in on a 1-1 draw to third-based side on Segunda Division standings, Almeria, Omeruo scored a lats gap goal in the additional time (90+5).

This is his first goal of the season after 14 league games and four in Copa Del Rey.

“A very important win.. great team spirit to come from behind and get all three points”, Kenneth Omeruo wrote after the game.

Leganes are now fourth on league table with 46 points after 25 games played.

They will take on Tenerife next Sunday for the matchday 26.
