AFCON Iwobi Set To Make History As Nigeria, Lesotho Confirm Starting XI

Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi could make history today ahead of the Africa Nations Cup (AFCON) qualifier against Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

 
Iwobi who has been cleared by CAF to after his COVID-19 result return3e negative has been included in the starting line up.
 
 
Should he score this evening, he would be the third Nigerian midfielder to score 10 goals or more for the Super Eagles.

Only his uncle and former Super Eagles midfielder, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha who scored 14 goals.
 
There will be nothing to loss for Lesotho who are currently occupying the fourth place in Group L.
