Ivory Coast centre-back Eric Bailly is not happy with his situation at Old Trafford and would like to leave Manchester United in order to get more playing time.

According to Manchester Evening News, the 27-year old wishes to leave Manchester United as Harry Maguire’s constant presence in the starting eleven irritates him.

The former Villarreal defender is going through a tough moment at Old Trafford as he has no appearance with the Red Devils this year.

Eric Bailly who only featured 7 times for Man United this season, lastly played for the club since December 30 druing the 3-1 home win against Brunley in Premier League.

The Ivorian defender didn’t even play the game entirely as he was subbed off for French world champion Raphael Varane in the 66th minute.

Bailly extended his contract with United in April last year until June 2024 but his situation could make him leave before his deal run out.

The AFCON 2015 winner is today the fifth-choice centre-back at Manchester United behind Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelöf and Phil Jones.
