Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokoena has said they have done their homework ahead of the CAF Champions League Group A game against ‘well-coached Al Hilal‘ in Sudan on Saturday.

Mokoena told Sundowns website that Al Hilal are a well-coached team capable of varying their playing formations.

He said the Sudanese giants have quality players that are well-coached.

They need a win; they changed their structure from the last game against Al Merreikh where they also needed three points,” he said.

“They played a different formation with two strikers, where traditionally they have played with a 4-2-3-1 throughout the group phases.”

“We will see what happens. We have done our work. We have analyzed their last four games since they played us. They are a very interesting team with some very good players, some of the players that we know—they are a well-coached team and we expect a very difficult game.”

Sundowns beat Al Hilal in South Africa in the first leg.

The Pretoria-based side leads the Group A standings with 10 points and are certain of quarterfinal qualification.

Meanwhile, Al Hilal coach Joao Mota has announced the squad for the Sundowns match.

Notable absentees are defenders Erang and Tayeb Abdel Razek due to injuries whereas Salah Adel will be out due to suspension.
