The ‘oyinbo’ wall of the Super Eagles has been restored as head coach Augustine Eguavoen has handed Leon Balogun a starting place against Ghana.

Balogun missed the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations hosted by Cameroon due to injury.

The Glasgow Rangers and Troost-Ekong were nicknamed oyinbo wall during the 2018 World Cup qualifier due to their telepathic style of play.

Also handed a starting jersey is Innocent Bonke who was handed a late call-up after Wilfred Ndidi pulled out of the squad due to injury.
