Dstv Premiership Namibian Shalulile nets hat trick to close in on SA scoring record

Namibian striker Peter Shalulile scored a hat trick as Mamelodi Sundowns thrashed Golden Arrows 6-0 in South Africa’s top-flight league match on Tuesday evening.

Sundowns other goals came from Gaston Sirino, Kermit Erasmus and Pavol Safranko.

Sundowns extended their lead at the summit of the DStv Premiership log table to 14 points ahead of second-placed Royal AM who have a game in hand.

Shalulile took his league tally to 18 goals to close on the 20 league goals, which Siyabonga Nomvethe scored in the 2012 season.

The Namibian has five more games to even better Zambian Collins Mbesuma’s record 25 goals he scored in a single season for Kaizer Chiefs in 2004/5 season.
