News Lionel Messi hits double figures: scores a double in PSG win

Lionel Messi scored twice for PSG as the French Ligue 1 champions-in-waiting saw off Montpellier 4-0 on Saturday evening.

The Argentine Messi opened the scoring in the sixth minute after a great pass from Killian Mbappe.

He also converted the second one into a goal with another assist from the Frenchman.

Winger Angel Di Maria scored the third one in the 26th minute.

Mbappe converted the penalty to score the fourth goal for PSG.

The former Barcelona star, who has struggled to adjust to life in Paris since his sensation move from Spain, took his league goal tally to six league goals from 25 games.

Overall, Messi has now taken his goals tally to double figures of 11 goals in 32 games across all competitions.

He has also provided 13 assists and all the figures pale in comparison to the goals he used to score for Barcelona.

At the end of the season, Messi will still finish with a trophy as PSG already confirmed their title with games to spare weeks ago.
