Ghana coach Otto Addo has revealed the reason why he included free-agent Mubarak Wakaso in the Black Stars squad for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
The Black Stars will start their journey en route to Côte d’Ivoire tomorrow Wednesday with a home clash against Madagascar (19:00).
Speaking in press conference ahead of the game, Addo was asked about his decision to call up Wakaso, as his presence continues to stir controversy.

“Like I said, we have some experienced player who showed that they have quality”, the Borussia Dortmund assistant manager said.
“He [Wakaso] was good when we beat South Africa 1-0”, he added.
In addition, Black Stars will travel to Luanda on June 5 to face Central African Republic.
