Malawi have been drawn in Group B of the 2022 edition of Cosafa Cup, southern Africa’s biggest football showpiece.
The draw took place on Tuesday at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, South Africa where the tournament will take place from July 5 to 17 2022.
The Flames of Malawi were drawn alongside Lesotho, Mauritius and Eswatini.
The other group comprises Angola, Comoros, Seychelles and Botswana.
The group phase draw involved eight lowly ranked teams of the 14-member CAF region.
Top team from each group will proceed to the quarterfinal stage where seeded highly ranked teams are waiting for battle.
The seeded teams waiting in the quarterfinal stage are Namibia, Zambia, holders South Africa, Mozambique and guests Senegal.
Madagascar will date Namibia, South Africa face Mozambique whereas Group B top team will take on Senegal.
Zambia will face the winner of Group A.
