With Liverpool struggling to reach an agreement with Mohamed over his contract extension, the Premier League side reportedly identified his replacement.

Salah has only a year left on his current contract with Liverpool. That is the 30-year old will be a free agent in June 2023 if things stand as of now.

Knowing they could see the Egyptian winger go on a free transfer next summer, Liverpool set a €70m price tag for him. But they are not yet done.

According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Liverpool have shown interest in signing Portuguese midfielder Otavio who also plays as a winger for FC Porto.

The Mirror adds that Porto are valuing the player at €40m. If the Reds have not yet tabled an offer, they are watching carefully over the player’s situation with Otavio’s contract ending in June 2025 with Porto.

Liverpool may look for other players in order to replace Mo Salah who is one of the best players in the world these years.
