Nigeria NFF Fixes September 30 For Elective Congress In Benin City

The Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) 2022 Elective Congress will now take place on September 30 in Benin City, the capital of Edo State.

The information was acquired during the Lagos 2022 NFF Annual General Assembly, where the Electoral and Appeal Committees were established prior to the polls on September 30.

Amaju Malvin Pinnick’s eight-year tenure as President of Nigeria’s top football organization came to an end during the Annual General Assembly on Thursday when he announced that he will not seek reelection.

Since September 30th has been set aside for the NFF elections, the new election date has been extended by 10 days.

While the Pinnick board was elected in 2018, the Elective Congress was scheduled to take place on September 20.

The planned election date of October 20th was rejected by the 44-member Congress, who instead chose the original date of September 30th.
