Inter Milan claimed their first win the Champions league this season as they defeated Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday night in matchday 2 of the group stages.

After bowing down to Bayern Munich (0-2) at home last week, the Nerazzurri were compelled to win tonight in order to revive their qualification chances.

And this is what they did with Edin Dzeko scoring the first goal in the 20th minute and Denzel Dumfries in the 70th.

Plzen ended the game at 10-man after Pavel Bucha’s red card (61st minute).

Inter on the other hand are third in Group C standings and will need a win against Barcelona on October 4.
