Cameroon head coach Alioum Saidou says the Central African country and CHAN 2022 host country Algeria are friendly ones as Indomitable Lions arrived Oran ahead of their debuts in the tournament.
Cameroon squad landed in Algiers on Sunday before heading to Oran where they’ll play their Group stages matches.
The team will take on Congo Brazzaville on Monday for their first game (19: 00 GMT) in the competition after their last training session today.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the game, Indomitable Lions coach Alioum Saidou said they got a warm welcome upon their arrival at the airport.

The 44-year old further added that the team now turned all focus on their goal which is to play and win.
“We were surprised by the warm welcome we received from Algiers to Oran. Cameroon and Algeria are friendly countries. It’s sports”, Alioum said.
“We have to focus on what we are doing here. We are happy to be here”, he added.
