International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) revealed its CAF men’s Team of the year with five Moroccan players and ex-Liverpool teammates Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
After their historic performance in Qatar during the 2022 World Cup, it was clear that Moroccan players will be rewarded for the upcoming months.
The Atlas Lions made it to the World Cup semifinals which is the first time for an African nation.
And five of them are now named in IFFHS’ team of the year with Yassine Bounou in the sticks.

Only one player playing in Africa is named in this team and it’s Tunisia left-back of Al Ahly, Ali Maloul.
