FIFA World Cup FIFA U20 World Cup: USA Vs New Zealand Preview, Starting Lineups

The United States U20 team will play New Zealand on Tuesday in the Round of 16 of the 2023 U20 FIFA World Cup to open the knockout portion of the tournament.

The United States established a commanding lead in Group B by winning all three of its games and accruing a perfect nine points, positioning itself well for the knockout stage.

With victories over Ecuador, Fiji, and Slovakia under his direction, the team will now face New Zealand, the group’s third-place finisher.

The Kiwis earned four points after victories over Guatemala and Uzbekistan, but they were destroyed by hosts Argentina in the championship game, allowing them to advance only on the basis of the third-place standings.

The winner of this match advances to the quarterfinals, where they will likely play either Uruguay or Gambia, with a potential semifinal matchup against Brazil.
