Just a day after confirming his exit from Ugandan Premier League side Wakiso Giants, midfielder Moses Aliro has landed at URA FC becoming their first signing of the season.
The Tax Collectors confirmed on Wednesday that Aliro has joined them on a two-year deal. In a statement on their official website, URA revealed: “Aliro Moses Okabo is the latest Tax Collector in the house, it’s official,” adding: “The versatile player joins the club as a free agent from Wakiso Giants on a two years contract.”
On signing the new deal, Aliro said: “I am happy to join URA and I want to help the club achieve a lot. It’s a good team with good players and I believe we can together achieve. Personally, I want to help the club win the league and score goals,” adding: “I thank the management of the club for the trust they have put in me and I can only pay them back with good performances and results.”

The Dokolo born is also a regular member of the Uganda Cranes squad and was part of the Cranes team that took part in the 2023 Chan tournament in Algeria. His versatility that can enable him to play in the midfield, upfront, left, and right full-back is one of the reasons that lured URA to add him to the team.
Aliro becomes the big first signing of the club after teenagers Kisiriko Denis Luzige, Kisolo John Innocent, Amis Bwangani, and Godfrey Sekibengo.
