Transfers Samuel Chukwueze joins AC Milan from Villarreal on long-term deal

Nigerian right-winger Samuel Chukwueze has signed a long-term deal with Serie A side AC Milan as he leaves La Liga outfit Villarreal.

After five years in Spain defending Villarreal colors, the 24-year old makes a bigger step with this move to Milan.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal costed the Rossoneri €20m plus an additional €8m as bonus.

“AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Samuel Chimerenka Chukwueze from Villarreal CF. The Nigerian forward has signed for the Rossoneri until 30 June 2028”, the club’s statement reads.

Chukwueze will wear 21 as shirt number and will partner with Portuguese star Rafael Leao and French World Cup winner Olivier Giroud in Milan‘s attack.

Samuel Chukwueze scored 37 goals and provided 31 assists in 207 appearances with Villarreal winning the Europa League in 2021.

Now, the Diamond Academy graduate will compete in the same league with Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and others.
