Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard says he could sign Mohamed Salah at Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq but only if the Egyptian meet some conditions.

Salah’s name is on the market despite signing a new deal until June 2025 last year with the Reds.

The Egyptian right-winger still has few years at top level ahead of him and wants to continue playing in Europe for a moment.

However, the 31-year old continue to be linked with a move to Saudi Arabia where many players are going to due to astronomic salaries they are offered.

Speaking on a possible Salah move to Al-Ettifaq, the club’s manager who is also Liverpool legend Gerrard said no at this stage of his career.

“Mohamed Salah is my favourite player”, he told saudi media.

“I love Liverpool Football Club, so Mohamed can stay where he is.

“[He can join] when he wins more leagues and Champions Leagues with Liverpool, we’ll maybe consider it.”
