Saudi Arabia Ighalo Off The Bench To Score For New Club Al-Wehda In Saudi League

Odion Ighalo scored on his debut game for his Saudi Arabia Club Al-Wehda in what was a cameo  appearance on Thursday.

The 34-year-old returned to the Saudi Pro League after Al Hilal refused to extend his contract and was snapped up by Al-Wehda.

He started the game on the sidelines as Faycal Fajr gave Al-Wedha the lead with a penalty kick that they carried into halftime.

In the 62nd minute, with Al-Wehda already cruising to a comfortable victory, Saeed Al Mowalad made it two for them.

Ighalo replaced Hussain Ahmed Al Eisa in the 86th minute.

Ighalo scored in just six minutes after receiving the ball from Fajr and dribbling a defender.

Ighalo celebrated his goal by crouching down and pointing to the heavens, as is his custom.

Ighalo made history with his historic debut, and he is now on a goal scoring streak in the Saudi League after playing for Al-Shabab and Al-Hilal in the past.

On Monday, August 28, 2023, Ighalo and Al-Wehda, who are now fifth on the log, will trade tackle against a Karim Benzema-led Al-Ittihad.
