African legends John Mikel Obi, Michael Essien and Salomon Kalou all showed up at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday night as Chelsea legends defeated Bayern legends 4-0 with a goal and an assist from the former Ghanaian midfielder.
In a tribute game to late Gianluca Vialli who donned Chelsea’s jersey from 1996 to 1999, there were a constellation of legends in London on Saturday.
And former Ghana Black Stars midfielder Michael Essien was the one who opened the scoring for the Blues with a beautiful header in the first half.

The other goals came from legendary Chelsea captain John Terry, Gary Cahill who netted the third one and Tiago Mendes who scored the fourth goal to make the night even darker for Bayern Munich legends.
Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi starred as well and bossed the midfielder for Chelsea like he did in 2012 when the Blues won their first-ever UEFA Champions league title.
Ex-Ivory Coast international Salomon Kalou was also there for the team but everyone’s favourite Didier Drogba could not attend the evening as he was not available.
