Nigeria Falconets To Host Mauritius At at the MKO Stadium 2024 FIFA World Cup

The Falconets, the U-20 women’s national team of Nigeria, will play Mauritius at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja as part of their 2024 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

The first leg of the match between the two nations is slated to take place in Saint Pierre, Mauritius on October 8, 2023, followed by the return leg in Nigeria on October 14, 2023.

Christopher Danjuma, the coach of the Falconets, was reappointed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Wednesday after the NFF expressed satisfaction with his performance. His first task would be against Mauritius.

Goalkeeper trainer Yahaya Audu and former U17 girls’ assistant coach Mansur Abdullahi will serve in these roles, respectively.

The Netherlands defeated the Falconets in the 2022 FIFA Women’s World Cup quarterfinals after a perfect showing in the group stage.

The Nigerian U20 women have never missed a game in a world championship.
