Serie A Chukwueze Starts In Milan 3-1 Comeback Win Against Cagliari

Samuel Chukwueze was in action as AC Milan fought back after falling behind at promoted Cagliari to secure a 3-1 Serie A victory on Wednesday.

Chukwueze who joined the Serie A club from Villarreal has been struggling to get playing time and was handed a starting shirt.

However the Super Eagles winger was substituted in the 69th minute as the Rossonieri claimed a vital away win.

After 29 minutes, Zito Luvumbo stunned the home fans by firing a left-footed rocket from a tight angle and against the flow of play into the top corner.

The joy was short-lived, though, as Milan tied the score in the 40th minute when Noah Okafor scored after the ball rebounded off Cagliari custodian Boris Radunovic.

Fikayo Tomori scored another goal from a close range free kick five minutes later.

On the hour mark, Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored his first goal for Milan with a stunning strike from 25 metres out, ending any residual hope for the Sardinian team.

With 15 points, Milan is tied for second position and with two points, Cagliari is at the bottom of the standings.
