Kenya CS Owalo vows to deliver stadium and clubhouse for giants Gor Mahia

After delivering on his promise to provide Gor Mahia with a state-of-the-art team bus, ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo has now turned his focus to ensuring that the FKF Premier League champions have their own stadium and clubhouse.

Speaking after officially handing over the 42-seater team bus to K’Ogalo officials and fans in a ceremony at Kasarani Stadium, Owalo promised to work with the team’s friends in Kenya and abroad to make the pledge of stadium and clubhouse a reality.

“I have delivered on my promise to give the team a new bus and my next stop now is to get a clubhouse and a stadium for the mighty club,” said Owalo, adding: “I will do everything possible to ensure Gor Mahia own proper facilities that befit the status of the club.

During the unveiling of the bus, Owalo presented the key to K’Ogalo chairman Ambrose Rachier, who in turn thanked the CS for his dedication towards the champions. “We thank Owalo for his dedication to this great team, he promised to deliver a bus and here we have it now,” said Rachier, adding: “We will make sure we make him happy by winning the league title this season.”

Gor Mahia are currently sitting second on the log with 21 points from 11 matches. They have managed five wins and six draw and remain the only unbeaten side.
