Rwanda WATCH: Bugingo’s goal lifts Rayon Sports past Bugesera FC

A solitary goal from left-back Hakim Bugingo aided Rayon Sports to a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Bugesera FC in a Rwandan Premier League fixture at Kigali Pele Stadium on Friday.

After the early exchanges, Rayon Sports seized the midfield and started to pin the visitors into their own half. Bugingo who overlapped a couple of times found the back of the net with a superb finish in the 12th minute.

Rharb Youssef, who is back to the Rayon squad after being banished out of the team, was efficient in a front trio alongside Musa Esenu and Joackim Ojera. Bugesera who are handled by former Rayon head coach Francis Haringingo on the other hand came strongly into the game with Vincent Adams stringing some decent passes together in midfield.

After recess, the tempo of the game was high again as both teams tried to score. Rayon head coach Mohammed Wade brought on Tuyisenge Arsene for Rharb Youssef in the 75th minute as he tried to add more with. The Blues maintained their 1-0 lead as the referee blew his whistle to the end of the game.
