Former striker for the French team and Al Ittihad footballer, Karim Benzema has taken the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, to court for defamation this Tuesday, January 16.
The Minister of the Interior had accused him of maintaining “notorious links” with the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamic organization.
Karim Benzema had expressed his support for the Palestinians in the crisis between Gaza and Israel.
A 92-page complaint, including 80 pages of annexes, mainly press articles. In the remaining 10 pages, a very detailed argument: the footballer repeats that he has no link with the Muslim Brotherhood and above all that this allegation damages his honor and his reputation.
