Vladimir Petkovic has finally been confirmed by the Federation of Algerian Football (FAF) to lead the Desert Foxes.

FAF’s first target, coach Jose Peseiro of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, was out of contract; but, the two parties couldn’t agree on a price.

Under Sadi Wadi, the nation of North Africa made the decision to interview other coaches for the open post.

On Thursday, the Algerian football federation declared Petkovic the team’s coach.

 “The FAF announces the finalization of the agreement appointing the new national coach. 

The next national coach is Mr. Vladimir PETKOVIC, a Bosnian, the association declared.
