Dstv Premiership Sundowns will not find it easy against Chippa United – Themba Zwane

Mamelodi Sundowns captain Themba Zwane has vowed, on behalf of his colleagues, to play an exciting game of football when they host Gqeberha-based team Chippa United on Saturday.

With the visitors having won their midweek clash and moved up to 10th position from the relegation zone, which has certainly boosted their morale, the Downs captain has highlighted that the encounter will be a competitive one.

The Brazilians are however, confident that they will come out the victorious side. “It won’t be an easy game. whenever we play against Chippa United the energy is more than usual. They got good results in their previous game against Richards Bay and we know they are going to come to Pretoria with full force but we are ready for them,” said Zwane.

“We watched their game against Richards Bay and now is to analyse them, prepare for them and try to win the game.”

Following the postponement of their midweek fixture against TS Galaxy, Themba Zwane has stated that their focus has fully shifted to the weekend clash in their backyard. He further stated that the team has now had more time to gear up for this encounter.

“It drops the momentum but at the same time it has given us more time to rest and recover. It also has given us extra time to plan for the game on Saturday,” he stated.

The match between Sundowns and Chippa United is scheduled at the Lucas Moripe Stadium. Kick off is set for 20H00.
