Nigeria Premier League NPFL To Reschedule Fixtures To Accommodate Outstanding Games

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) board has rescheduled the 2023–2024 season’s schedule to make room for exceptional games.

The league board has announced that the six Rivers United games that are still unresolved would be moved to match days 35 through 38.

In CAF club competitions, the Pride of Rivers represented the nation; however, USM Algiers eliminated them.

It was disclosed that the league games will take a break following match day 34 so that Rivers United can complete their remaining games and prepare for the Federation Cup round of 64.

“Games will be paused after Matchday 34 to allow Rivers United to play their outstanding matches owing to their involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup.

“Therefore, Matchdays 35 to 38 will be rearranged, also having the Federation Cup in view.”
