Barcelona centre-back and 2010 World Champion Gerard Pique has named a former African player as the toughest opponent he ever faced on the pitch.
From Manchester United to Barcelona, Pique played against a couple of players who are among the best of all-time like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos to name but a few.
However, when the 33-year old was asked to pick the toughest he played against, he snubbed the five-time Ballon d’Or winner and lauded former Chelsea forward Didier Drogba.

“The forward who made it more difficult for me? (Didier) Drogba,” Pique said.
“I think (Drogba) is one of the best strikers I’ve ever seen because he had it all.
“He had speed, he was very strong, he was good in the air, he could dribble and he kicked with both feet. It was awesome,” he added.
