The Moroccans  Ezzine Hamid and El Othmani Goumri have won the gold on Saturday in the 7th Francophone Games by winning respectively the 3 000m steeplechase (8 min 43 sec 41) and 5 000m with (13 min 48 sec 76).

Fouad Al Kaam meanwhile occupies the third place in the 1500m with a time of 3min 57sec 91.

In women, the Moroccan athlete Malika Hakkaoui won the silver medal in the 800m with a time of 2 min 02 sec 61 ahead of the Romanian Elena Mirla Lavric. Her compatriot Siham Hilali, was fourth on the same distance with 2 min 03 sec 73.

As a reminder, the Moroccan selection under 20 will play on Sunday the final of the seventh Francophone games of Nice against Congo. The Eaglets have beaten in the semi-finals Ivory Coast on penalties (9-8) (1-1 regular time).
