This is the news of the day. Yaya Toure wants to leave Manchester City. According to his agent who revealed the information to the Sun, the Ivorian would be complaining about the treatment reserved to him by his club. Citizens would have particularly forgotten to wish him a happy birthday last week as he aged 31.

“Yaya is so angry that he thinks of leaving City. There are a number of things that have happened that have bitterly upset him (…) City treated him with contempt and hurt him so hard. They (the leaders) do not know that money cannot buy human relationships. It is not a matter of money or a new contract that is implied – it is about human relationships and City does not care much. I repeat, this is not about money,” says Dimitri Selçuk, the agent of the ex-Barcelona star.

This is not the first time that Yaya Touré threatens to quit the north of England. The last time (2012 and 2013), a pay rise has helped. No doubt after a breakout season from him with a Premier League Cup and a Carling Cup, Touré would require more respect from his club.
