AFCON CAMEROON 2021 Afcon 2013 : Kwesi Appiah excited with training response

The Black Stars completed a grueling fifth training session in Abu Dhabi on Monday night in preparation for this month’s tournament in South Africa.

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah believes that with the kind of training his players have had from him, they are fitness to begin with their 2013 Africa Cup of Nations campaign on the front foot with a good start to their preparations.

Every member of the 24-man squad has been involved in the fitness sessions and tactical work since Ghana started preparations in the Gulf region on Saturday.

Appiah is happy with his players’ application to the tasking session during training.

“I am very happy with how all the players have trained since we arrived here on Saturday morning,” coach Appiah told www.ghanafa.org.

“Training has been tough but very good for the players as I want to achieve some fitness level before we depart to South Africa.”

Ghana will continue with their two friendly matches against Egypt and Tunisia in Abu Dhabi before departing to South Africa for the tournament (Afcon 2013).
