Africa Champion’s League : Africans players to watch out for in the derby PSG-FC Valence!

PSG has played 4 matches since the first leg and have won two and lost 2. They’ll be pleased that they have won both home games in the time, both against Marseille but a pair of away defeats to Sochaux and Reims has shortened their lead at the top of Ligue 1 to just 2 points over Lyon.  This shaky run of form along with Zlatan missing could have the PSG fans very worried about this match.

Valencia have had 3 matches since the first leg and have won 1 and drawn 2. They have scored 2 goals in each of the matches but conceding 4 goals in their last two games isn’t what they’d want going against as potent an attack as PSG’s.

It’ll be tough for Valencia to come to Paris knowing they need to score twice to have any chance of qualifying.  They can’t afford to go allout attacking with PSG so good going forward and will have to striker the right balance between going for the goals and staying strong at the back.  I think PSG will set up to play on the break and despite missing Zlatan still have enough quality to make Valencia suffer.

Paris Saint-Germain :

Mamadou Sakho

He joined PSG as a 12-year-old in 2002 spending five years in the youth teams before moving into the senior side in 2007. He has only ever played for PSG producing five goals in 139 appearances.

Sakho joined PSG as a striker but was told to change positions by the club’s youth coaches as the club had too many forwards.

He’s won four honours during his career; the French Cup and League Cup team titles and young player of the year for Ligue 1 and team of the year for Ligue 1 in 2010/2011.
