Scotland’s former international Charlie Nicholas believes Luis Suarez is on the verge of becoming Liverpool’s greatest ever legend if he continues to play a couple of season for the Reds.
The Uruguayan striker netted four times as Liverpool hammered Norwhich 5-0 Wednesday.
Being extremely impressed by the player’s stunning form this season, Nicholas says Suarez will soon even outclass Liverpool’s legend Kenny Dalglish who won six league titles and three European Cups during his best at Anfield.
“Dalglish was my all-time hero and the things he won at Liverpool were extraordinary,” Nicholas said.
“He did extraordinary things, but this number 7 is all about the type of goals he scores. Kenny made as many as anybody else, but this guy is right up there.
“If he continues to play for Liverpool for another couple of seasons I think you’re potentially looking at the best player ever in a Liverpool shirt. He really is. He takes my breath away.”
