Former Arsenal manager Unai Emery is set to be announced as Samuel Chukwueze new manager to take over from Javi Calleja in the coming days.

With Calleja set to depart Villarreal, the club has already made replacement in the person of Emery.

Calleja guided Chukwueze and his teammates to pick a Europa League ticket for next season.

Chukwueze made more appearance for the Yellow Submarines under him starting more games compared to last season.

He was also handed a starting shirt o Sunday at the Estadio De la Ceramic as Villarreal wrapped up the 2019-2020 season with a 4-0 win against Eibar.

Spanish medium, Marca confirmed that Villarreal had reached an agreement with Emery some time ago and his arrival will be confirmed once the season is over.

Emery was sacked by Arsenal on November last year following series of poor results and have been without a job.

The Spaniard who is a Europa League winning specialist as a manager won the Europa League title with Sevilla three consecutive times.

His move to the club could help Villarreal fight for the Europa League title next season.

Emery had previously managed Paris Saint-Germain, Almeria, Valencia and Sevilla
