Nigeria Egbo Marks His UEFA Champions League Dugout Debut With Victory

Ndubuisi Egbo has once again etched his name on history book as the first Nigerian and African coach to win a UEFA Champions League game.

The Former Super Eagles Goalkeeper and now KF Tirana head coach, Ndubuisi Egbo marked his debut in the dugout in the UEFA Champions League with a victory.

Egbo guided his Albanian club KF Tirana to qualify for the next stage of the Champions League following a 2-0 away win against Georgia side Dinamo Tbilisi on Wednesday night.

He made history with Tirana as the first Nigerian and African coach to win a league title in a European top flight when he guided Tirana to lift the Albanian League title.

The former Nigerian international has targeted playing in the group stage of the Champions League with top Europe team.

Tirana secured the victory courtesy of goals in each half from Agustin Torasso and Marsel Ismajlgeci in the one-legged qualifier tie.

Egbo will be hoping to repeat the same feat when Tirana takes on Red Star Belgrade in the second round of the qualifiers.

Should Tirana defeat the Serbian side, they will progress to the play-off round.

Should they overcome the hurdles and win their play-off, Egbo and his team will qualify for the money spinning group stage.
