Joël Awich, a Kenyan American basketball player, joined Dax-Gamarde in France to strengthen the club’s interior sector.

In search of a replacement for Jourdan Demuynck, Dax-Gamarde has chosen the service of Joël Awich. He will therefore join the band on Sunday, 23 August. Starting Monday, he will participate in the second week preparation for the group.

Born in Kenya, Joël Awich played in the Minor League last season with the Georgia Kingz. At 27 years old with 2.01m heigh, Awich corresponds to 4-5 position.

Versatile interior, Joël Awich would be the perfect complement to Tanguy Ramassamy and Guillaume Valayer in the sector. The club still lacks a position to be complete.

“He can also shoot 3 points efficiently and likes to develop a collective game. Francophone, he will be able to adapt perfectly to the group, both on and off the field.” Confided his future coach, Denis Mettay on the club’s Facebook page.
