Nigeria Wolfsburg Ladies Shatters Oshoala Champions League Title Dream

Super Falcons of Nigeria strìker, Asisat Oshoala hope of lifting the UEFA Women’s Champions League title with Barcelona Ladies this season came to an end.

On a Tuesday night the Nigerian international has hoped to help his team reach the final Wolfsburg snatched a slim 1-0 victory to halt her dream.

Oshoala was handed a starting XI jersey but featured for 65 minutes before he was substituted for Aitana Bonmati as the Blaugrana Ladies failed to reach the final.

Having finished as runners-up in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, Barca Ladies were hoping to reach another final.

They defeated Atletico Madrid Ladies 1-0 in the quarter final en route to her last four in the one off matches to curb the spread of coronavirus.

Wolfsburg Ladies will be hoping to emulate Bayern Munich to complete a treble this season.

They won German Women’s Bundesliga and also German Cup this season.

Coincidentally, they will any of French club, Paris Saint-Germain or Lyon in the final on Sunday.

PSG and Lyon Ladies will meet on Wednesday at the Atletico Bilbao Stadium for a spot in the final.
