Bafana Bafana‘s all-time top scorer (31) Benni McCarthy said Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane will open the gate for other South African managers to coach in Egypt.

Pitso Mosimane left Mamelodi Sundowns last month to take over Al Ahly’s coaching job as Red Devils mutually parted ways with Swiss technician Rene Weiler.

So far, Pitso has won his first two games with the Cairo outfit and will be in target tonight against Pyramids FC (6PM) the 33rd match day of Egyptian Premier League. A week before their prominent move to Morocco as they face Wydad Casablanca for the first leg of CAF Champions league (17th October).

“…Mosimane did great with Mamelodi Sundowns, and he is the most successful coach in South Africa. His move to coach Al Ahly is a big step in his career and I wish him great success with them,” former Cape Town City coach told On Time Sports.
