Uncategorised Super Eagles Slips Both In World And Continent In Latest FIFA Ranking

Super Eagles of Nigeria dropped three places in the latest FIFA Coca/cola world ranking that was released on Thursday.

Africatopsports.com gathered from FIFA official website that the Super Eagles who were  29th in the last ranking have slipped to 32nd position.

The team failed to win any of their last two international friendlies against Algeria and Tunisia.

That was also enough for them to slip from the third position they have occupied since the 2019 AFCON to fourth in the continent.

Super Eagles where overtaken by Algeria who are now third in Africa after they  climbed five places and are now 30th in the world.

The Teranga Lions of Senegal maintained their top position as they are in 21st position world ranking.

Nigeria next game will be in November when they play Sierra Leone in a double-header for the 2021 Nations Cup qualifier.

The October 2020 ranking saw no changes to the top five ranked countries in the world .

Belgium, France, Brazil, England and Portugal remained first, second, third, fourth and fifth respectively.

At number six is Spain, number seven spot has Uruguay, two-time World Cup champions Argentina are eight, at number nine is Croatia and Colombia are number 10.

The next FIFA World Ranking will be published on 26 November, 2020.
