Africa Goalkeeper Veli Mothwa Has Signed With AmaZulu From Chippa United

The Siya crew can reveal that goalkeeper Veli Mothwa has signed with AmaZulu from Chippa United. The 29-year-old shot-stopper had left the Chilli Boys camp to join one of their rivals in the DStv Premiership. 

It has been confirmed that the former Baroka FC keeper has joined Usuthu. They who have seen a need to reinforce their goalkeeping department. This following their 4-3 loss against Mamelodi Sundowns in their previous match last weekend. 

The KwaZulu-Natal outfit has added Mothwa to Ayanda Dlamini’s squad to compete with Siyabonga Mbatha and Neil Boshoff for the number one jersey in line with new president Sandile Zungu’s vision about turning the Durban-based club into a force to be reckoned with in Mzansi. 

Last season, Mothwa finished third in the league behind SuperSport United. And Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Ronwen Williams, as well as Orlando Pirates’ Wayne Sandilands with the number of clean sheets kept.
